PyCharm by JetBrains Download and Installation

- First of all, make sure you have the latest version of Java downloaded and installed before downloading PyCharm. Instructions for downloading the latest version of Java here…

- Java Install

- Once you have Java installed, Google search PyCharm then select the link to the JetBrains website.

- That should bring you to this site, hit 'Download Now'.

- Select the Community Version which is free and open source, you need to pay for the professional version.

- Once done downloading click on the .exe file and the setup wizard should pop up. Once it does, hit 'next'.

- The next page should show you the download information, verify it and hit 'next'.

- It will then ask you to create a desktop shortcut, choose the 64 bit version of the download or whichever applies to your system. Then hit 'next'.

- The next window should be the 'Choose Start Menu' window, on this window just hit 'install'.

- Once the install finishes, check the box that says 'Run PyCharm Community Edition' and hit 'finish'.

- The next window asks you if you wish to import settings from a previous download of PyCharm, click 'Do Not Import Settings' then hit 'ok'.

- The next two pages are terms and conditions, and consent to email usage statistics to JetBrains. You must scroll all the way down the page in order to accept the term and conditions, and it is up to the user to decide if they want to send in usage statistics.

- The next page asks you to pick a UI theme, then hit 'Next: Featured Plugins'.

- Select any plugins you may want, or just hit start using PyCharm.

- You can now start a project on your newly installed PyCharms IDE!
