Packet Tracer Download from netacad.com

- First, navigate in your browser to www.netacad.com

-

- In the top right of this window there should be a 'Log in' tab. Hover over this then click 'Log in' from the drop down menu.

- A Cisco.com authentication window should then pop up asking if you have an existing account. If you do, you can sign in with your existing credentials, if not, you will need to make an account.

- Once you have an account, click 'Login to Netacad'.

- It should then ask you for your email…

- Then the password you used to make the account.

-

- Once you have your credentials entered correctly it should bring you to this page. This is the homepage for the Cisco Network Academy courses that you are enrolled in. It is a good idea to become familiar with this page.

- At the top of this window you should see a 'Resources' tab. Hover over this tab then move down to 'Download Packet Tracer'.

-

- After clicking on this if should navigate you to this page, where you will need to select the appropriate download for your operating system.

- Once the file is downloaded, find the file in your downloads directory and double click on the PacketTracer_setup Application file. Note, there is an application file and a bin file for the windows 10 64 bit download, you want the application file.

- This warning should pop up asking if you want to extract the contents of the zip file.

-

- Click on 'Extract all' and it should automatically partition the file to the downloads directory of the current packet tracer version.

-

- Hit 'Extract' and it should take you to the file location once complete.

-

- At this point you will want to double click on the PacketTracer_setup application file, and this should bring you to the setup wizard. After allowing this application to make changes on your machine you should see this window.

- Agree to the Software License Agreement and click 'Next'. This should be the next window you see.

- Once you select the installation destination the next two windows will ask you where you want shortcut locations placed on your machine.

- Once your shortcut locations have been chosen you should see this window asking you if you're ready to install.

-

- Once you click 'Install' this loading bar should pop up.

-

- Once this bar is filled the install finish page should open. Click finish.

- Packet Tracer should then automatically open and ask for your Netacad credentials.

- Once you input these the Packet Tracer homepage should open and you should then be able to use it on your machine.
