Go get the client:
  * https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?show_all=1

I find this link normally does not have the bundled offers nor asks you to get the Pro version.

Download for your OS that you are using; i.e. Windows 64 bit

After the file has downloaded, run and install it. I find that that the defaults are good for the install. Assuming that there are no bundled offers to remove or not install.

Once you are installed and opened/ran, we can get to adding a server.
  * File→Site Manager
  * Under ‘Select Entry’ on the left hand side, there is a ‘New Site’ button
  * Click ‘New Site’
  * Name the site in the ‘Select Entry’, lets make this one ‘citstudent’
  * On the right hand side in the General Tab, there will be a Host section
  * enter ‘citstudent.lanecc.edu’ (without quotes)
  * In the ‘Port’ section
  * enter ‘22’ (without quotes)
  * For the ‘Logon Type’, choose, ‘Normal’
  * The ‘User’ will be your last name and the first initial of your first name with the last 3 of your L number.
  * The ‘Password’ is your password that the instructor gave you.
